It's not just the players who shine in Europe who are in the sights of Premier League clubs for the next Transfer Window, with teams trying to reinforce themselves after the easy conquest of Liverool. Initial reports suggest that Arsenal, Fulham and Nottingham Forest are very interested in signing striker Igor Jesus.
After initial enquiries from Nottingham Forest in January didn't even get Botafogo to start talks, the current Copa Libertadores champion and one of the Brazilian clubs that will be competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, Igor Jesus, could be very close to leaving South America for the best soccer in the world.
A representative of Igor Jesus has spent the last few weeks in England with the aim of hearing which teams would be interested in signing the 24-year-old striker. As expected, the South American team intends to sell the player in order to make a large financial gain to pay for reinforcements closer to their reality. Jesus played for Brazil last year and is included in the shortlist sent to FIFA by Carlo Ancelotti, who will be officially unveiled next Monday.
Why do Premier League teams want Igor Jesus?

Arsenal are still looking for a natural goal scorer next season to try to avoid what happened in 2024/25, when Mikel Arteta's team was left very weakened after the serious injury to Gabriel Jesus, who was making his debut for the Gunners after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The frustration was enormous, considering that the team ended the year without winning a title.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest only have Chris Wood as a reliable center-forward to fill the top scorer position in the squad. With 20 goals in 39 games, Wood is way ahead of the Nigerian woniyi, who has scored just two goals in his 33 appearances.
Finally, Fulham are surprisingly interested in Igor Jesus considering that they have Raúl Jiménez and Rodrigo Muniz in their squad, who has made a name for himself during the season with 11 goals scored despite being a substitute most of the time.
