Everything pointed to Tottenham's night at the Amex Stadium being extremely difficult and forgettable after falling two goals behind, but the Premier League always allows for comebacks, and Spurs managed to score two goals against Brighton thanks mainly to Richarlison, a striker who is definitely enjoying a new lease of life under Thomas Frank.

It is important to note that the Seagulls started much better in terms of performance and surprised the Spurs after only 10 minutes, when Yankuba Minteh took advantage of a loose ball in the area to open the scoring. Twenty minutes later, it was Yasin Ayari's turn to score Brighton's second goal and give the fans hope thanks to a curling shot from outside the area.

Tottenham's reaction is part of Thomas Frank's identity

Tottenham definitely does not have one of the best squads in the Premier League (especially when compared to the other Big Six teams), but Thomas Frank's greatest achievement has been to restore confidence and competitiveness to the team. The comeback began even before halftime, when Richarlison beat Bart Verbruggen shortly after intercepting a shot from Mohammed Kudus.

Certainly, this goal scored at the end of the first half was enough to give Spurs ample possession and put strong pressure on Brighton, playing well in the offensive field. Several scoring opportunities were created and wasted, with Xabi Simons and Richarlison throwing away excellent chances to equalize.

However, just as Brighton fans were confident of an important home win, Tottenham managed to equalize with only eight minutes remaining. Jan Paul van Hecke deflected a cross from Kudus and scored an own goal, brought about by persistent pressure from Spurs in the final third and around the penalty area. This point was crucial for Thomas Frank's team to maintain their good start to the season, while Brighton leave the weekend feeling very frustrated despite a great first-half performance.
