Everything was absolutely agreed between Chelsea and Bayern Munich for Nicolas Jackson to go out on loan for the fourth largest sum of money in the history of world soccer, showing that the Nigerian striker would have a great opportunity to return to the technical peak of his career by leaving the Premier League to be in the squad of the current Bundesliga champions.

Nicolas Jackson was leaving England without leaving the Blues fans with many nostalgic memories, as his level of performance during the last season was very disappointing due to the enormous difficulty he had in completing plays created by his teammates, as well as some very negative behavior, as seen in the Club World Cup, when he was sent off against Flamengo and compromised yet another match for the Blues.

The arrivals of João Pedro and Liam Delap showed that the Nigerian had become an absolutely expendable player at the age of 24, and because of this all the parties involved in this 15 million euro deal had agreed to the deal. However, when Nicolas Jackson was already in Germany on Saturday to undergo medical tests at a hospital, he ended up receiving an unbelievable order from Chelsea's management to return to England.

Liam Delap prevented Nicolas Jackson from leaving Chelsea

According to reports by Fabrizio Romano and various press outlets, Liam Delap's injury on Saturday against Fulham in the Premier League has left coach Enzo Maresca very worried about his line-up for the next few games, in which he will have very important challenges in this competition and especially in the UEFA Champions League. Given that Delap will need between six and eight weeks to recover from his injury, Chelsea have found a solution to block his transfer to Bayern Munich.

This decision between the board and the coaching staff shows that Nicolas Jackson will have another (and probably last) opportunity to convince Enzo Maresca that his presence at Chelsea is positive and will be useful in important games. On the other hand, the striker who has scored 30 goals and contributed 12 assists since 2023 with the Blues may have seen his career take a brutal hit.
