After long negotiations and many twists and turns, Carlo Ancelotti has finally been officially announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Real Madrid didn't announce the departure of the Italian coach after the end of the El Clásico as everyone expected, but CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues announced Ancelotti's arrival.

The Brazilian national soccer team had been without a coach since March with the departure of Dorival Júnior, who received several offers from Brazilian clubs until he signed with Corinthians. In the meantime, the CBF sought an agreement with Ancelotti before making the deal permanent. Even though Real Madrid are well on the way with Xabi Alonso and have not announced the Italian coach's departure, several points have already been agreed with the CBF.

The details of the agreement between Ednaldo Rodrigues and Brazil

Debut at World Cup Qualification

Considering the schedule of matches in the South American Qualifiers for the World Cup, Ednaldo Rodrigues' debut with the Brazilian national team will be on June 5, against Ecuador, in the 15th round at the Estadio Monumental. This is one of the decisive games in terms of direct qualification for next year's World Cup, with a contract valid until June 2026.

First call-up to the national team

The CBF's official schedule shows that the next squad for the Brazilian national team will be announced on May 26. Because this date is the day after LaLiga finishes, the CBF guarantees that Ancelotti will be in Rio de Janeiro to announce the names that will be in his first squad in Brazil.

First training session

Carlo Ancelotti's first training session will be held at CT Joaquim Grava, the training center of Corinthians in the city of São Paulo. The first squad members will report for training at the beginning of June.

Benefits

The CBF has also promised to pay Ancelotti a bonus of 5 million euros if Brazil wins the six-time world title at the 2026 World Cup. Other benefits include renting a mansion in Rio de Janeiro and paying for a health plan in Brazil.
