After an unsuccessful spell at Barcelona, Vitor Roque ended up having his qualities and ability to transform games reevaluated. In search of a career revival, the striker was courageous in returning to Brazilian soccer, and this strategy proved effective, as his performances at Palmeiras caught the attention of several big clubs.

All the success that Vitor Roque is having in the Brasileirão 2025 (which has already completed 28 rounds) is putting the striker back on the Premier League's radar. According to Spanish media reports, Chelsea intends to sign the 20-year-old striker. The Blues are looking to strengthen their offensive power and see the youngster as an ideal fit for their project.

Vitor Roque's career turnaround

After a promising start at Athletico PR, Vitor Roque arrived at Barcelona in early 2024 with high expectations. However, he was unable to secure his place in the team. Struggling to adapt to the European style of play and demands, he was loaned to Real Betis (where he was also unable to adapt) and ended up returning to Brazil in early 2025.

Palmeiras invested around €25 million to bring him in, with Barcelona retaining a share in any future sale. Back in Brazil, the 20-year-old has made the most of his opportunity, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 45 appearances in all competitions this season.

His impressive performances have once again put him on the radar of major European clubs, with Chelsea among those interested. Even after signing João Pedro and Liam Delap in the last transfer window, the London club continues to seek more quality in attack. The Blues see Vitor Roque as an ideal player and are already closely monitoring his situation for a possible deal. His performance against Chelsea in the Club World Cup served to reinforce his profile in Europe.

However, despite Chelsea's desire, it will not be easy to convince Palmeiras to release the player. The Brazilian club would prefer to keep him for another season. Even if they consider negotiating his transfer next European summer, they are likely to demand a high price, especially considering that his contract runs until 2029 and that part of the sale will be reverted to Barcelona.
