Crystal Palace have won four of their last six encounters with West Ham United, despite having only claimed two victories from the previous 14.

The Eagles are undefeated in six visits to East London, winning three, losing just two of 13 visits to either Upton Park or the London Stadium since 2003.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace preview

Crystal Palace's unbeaten streak is showing little sign of slowing down. On Tuesday night, the Eagles ousted fierce South London rivals Millwall in the EFL Cup at Selhurst. They required a penalty shootout to do it, taking the lead through Chris Richards, only for the visitors to equalise in stoppage time, but Walter Benítez was ultimately the hero, saving two spot-kicks in the shootout success.

This means, across all competitions, Oliver Glasner's side are now unbeaten in 16 matches dating back to April, winning both the FA Cup and Community Shield during this period. In the Premier League, Palace have drawn three of four fixtures so far, held to a goalless draw by Sunderland last weekend. This time though, they'll fancy their chances of victory across London on Saturday.

That's because West Ham United's miserable 2025 continues. A week ago, the Hammers were demolished 3-0 by hated neighbours Tottenham at home, all the goals coming during a 17 minute second half scoring spree, during which time Tomáš Souček was sent off.

Graham Potter's team have now lost three of four league games to commence the new campaign, also steamrollered 5-1 by Chelsea in their only other outing at the London Stadium, winning 3-0 at Nottingham Forest in-between, probably keeping the manager in a job. However, with trips to Everton and then Arsenal to come after this one, another defeat would crank up the pressure further.

West Ham team news

Tomáš Souček starts his three-match suspension, he won't be seen again in claret and blue until 20 October, while Graham Potter has some touch selection decisions to make.

He chose to deploy Lucas Paquetá, Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville as a fluid front three against Tottenham, but could an orthodox centre-forward, namely Callum Wilson or Niclas Füllkrug, be recalled?

New signing Soungoutou Magassa is set to make his first start at the base of midfield, while Igor Juilo is hoping to debut. In goal, Mads Hermansen will continue to be the number on for now, despite the presence of Alphonse Areola and 40 year old Łukasz Fabiański, who re-signed for the club last week.

West Ham United predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace: (4-3-3): Hermansen; Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf; Ward-Prowse, Magassa, Fernandes; Bowen, Paquetá; Summerville.

West Ham player to watch vs Crystal Palace

Jarrod Bowen has only ever scored once in nine appearances against Crystal Palace, this coming at Selhurst 13 months ago, but he will once again be the Hammers' main attacking threat.

Crystal Palace team news

Olivier Glasner is without Adam Wharton, Cheick Doucouré and Ismaïla Sarr, but Eddie Nketiah will be back on the bench, hoping to feature for the first time this season due to a hamstring injury.

For the mid-week EFL Cup victory, goalkeeper Walter Benítez and centre-back Jaydee Canvot both debuted from the start, while Christantus Uche did so off the bench, with Borna Sosa and Romain Esse rotated into the line-up. However, he'll largely revert to last weekend's line-up.

Crystal Palace predicted lineup vs West Ham United: (3-4-3): Henderson; Richards, Guéhi, Lacroix; Muñoz, Lerma, Hughes, Mitchell; Yéremy, Kamada, Mateta.

Crystal Palace player to watch vs West Ham

Jean-Philippe Mateta has four career goals against West Ham to his name, only netting against Freiburg and Aston Villa more frequently, bagging both at the London Stadium back in January.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace prediction

As outlined throughout, we're backing Crystal Palace for victory. The Eagles are playing excellently, while the same certainly cannot be said of Saturday's hosts: West Ham United 1-3 Crystal Palace.
