Wolves have won five of their last eight meetings with Everton, despite having only claimed two victories from their 12 encounters immediately beforehand.
The Toffees have won just two of their last 12 trips to Molineux, the most-recent of these played in front of a crowd coming in 2011.
Wolves vs Everton preview
Will Wolverhampton Wanderers get off the mark in the Premier League? So far, it is played two and lost two for Vítor Pereira's team, first demolished 4-0 by Manchester City, before also being beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth last weekend; Toti sent off shortly after half time at Dean Court.
However, Wolves did claim a morale-boosting victory in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, ousting West Ham 3-2. On the cusp of half time, Hwang Hee-chan's penalty thwacked the post, rather summing up their season so far, but luckily for him Rodrigo Gomes lashed in the rebound from the edge of the area. However, West Ham struck back, scoring twice to lead 2-1, only for substitute Jørgen Strand Larsen to score twice in three minutes towards the end to secure their place in the third round, where they'll actually host Everton next month. Before then, can they pick up their first Premier League points?

As for the aforementioned Everton, they are loving life at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Last Sunday was their new home's grand-opening, and it could hardly have gone any better. The Toffees defeated Brighton 2-0 at Bramley-Moore Dock, with Iliman Ndiaye and James Garner the scorers, while Jordan Pickford also saved a late penalty for good measure. Then, on Wednesday, David Moyes' men made it two wins out of two and home, dumping Mansfield Town out of the EFL Cup, with Carlos Alcaraz and then Beto the scorers on Merseyside.
Prior to this excitement however, the Blues did actually lose their Premier League opener, putting in a rather lifeless and toothless performance against Leeds at Elland Road, even if they were only beaten by a late penalty. So, this will be a tough test for the Toffees, so will they win again?

Wolves team news
Despite being sent off at Bournemouth, centre-back Toti is available, having served his one-match ban in the EFL Cup. Vítor Pereira made wholesale changes against West Ham, but will largely revert to that team he deployed a week ago.

However, Ki-Jana Hoever did suffer a knee injury in Dorset, so new signing Jackson Tchatchoua is expected to start at right-wing-back, with Rodrigo Gomes a viable alternative. Lastly, centre-back Ladislav Krejčí has arrived from Girona this week, so will he make his debut in old gold?
Wolverhampton Wanderers predicted lineup vs Everton: (4-3-3): José Sá; Tchatchoua, Doherty, Toti, Agbadou, Møller Wolfe; André, João Gomes, Bellegarde, Arias; Strand Larsen.
Wolves player to watch vs Everton
Newcastle have had three bids rejected for striker Jørgen Strand Larsen this week, the highest a whopping £60 million with the Norwegian's quick-fire double in the Carabao Cup underlining his importance to Wolves. He scored 14 Premier League goals last season, but failed to net against Everton, so can he change that fact here?
Everton team news
David Moyes could hand a full-debut to Tyler Dibling, who joined from Southampton for £40 million earlier this week, enjoying a half an hour cameo against Mansfield.

If Dibling does start, it'll be interesting to see who he displaces, given that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye formed a dangerous attacking trio against Brighton.
At the back, Moyes is a little bit less spoilt for choice, with Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson sidelined, although Vitaliy Mykolenko did return on Wednesday, which is a boost. Lastly, Beto's goal off the bench in the League Cup could see him get the nod over Thierno Barry in attack.
Everton predicted lineup vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: (4-3-3): Pickford; O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gana Gueye, Iroegbunam, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish, Ndiaye; Beto.
Everton player to watch vs Wolves
Jack Grealish has only ever scored once in 13 meetings with Wolves, this coming for Manchester City at Molineux three years ago, so can he get off the mark in Everton blue?
Wolves vs Everton prediction
This clash is extremely tough to call. It's unlikely to be high-scoring, but we're sitting on the fence and forecasting a draw that frankly doesn't really help either: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Everton.
