When are the World Cup play-offs taking place?
European World Cup play-off semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday 26 March, with the final taking place on Tuesday 31 March.

The inter-confederation play-offs will also take place during the March international window, the exact schedule still to be confirmed, with fixtures taking place in Mexico at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara and Estadio BBVA in Monterrey.
When is the World Cup draw?
The World Cup draw takes place at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Friday 5 December at noon (ET) and 17:00 (GMT).
When does the World Cup kick off?
The opening match of the 2026 World Cup will take place on Thursday 11 June at the Estadio Azteca, with hosts Mexico in action. Canada will commence their campaign the following day at BMO Field in Toronto, with the United States also in action at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California that day.

UEFA: England, France, Croatia, Portugal, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Switzerland & Scotland.
CONMEBOL: Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil & Paraguay.

CAF: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Senegal & Côte d'Ivoire.
