Major League Soccer is growing each year, no doubt about it.

What is even more interesting though, is each season, more and more players rise to the occasion and prove just how dynamic and talented MLS truly is becoming.

Gone are the days of Taylor Twellman, Landon Donovan, Steve Ralston and David Beckham. Now, MLS continues to move forward, to bigger and brighter players. Before each season starts, fans and critics gather, debate, argue, and discuss, which players will have “breakout” seasons.

Realistically, not to many people could see the events of the 2014 MLS season playing out the way it has so far.

Five players have stepped-up and gone above and beyond the call of duty and made their presence truly felt during the 2014 MLS season.
