9. Vancouver Whitecaps

This is not the Canadian team many fans thought would make the playoffs, well, assuming the team does not screw things up that is. No one credited the young and talented midfielders of the Whitecaps going into 2014. Throw in the addition of Pedro Morales, and suddenly, Vancouver is in the conversation about being a playoff team.

The chances of the Whitecaps progressing past the first round of the playoffs, if everything started today, are questionable. Vancouver would face FC Dallas first, a team that cannot make up their mind on whether the club want’s to be good or not. Because of the offense that FCD have, my beat would be on them knocking out the Whitecaps in round number one.
