There are only two weeks left in the 2014 MLS season and the race for MLS MVP is as close as ever. There is no clear front runner at the moment and fans across the league all have their opinions. This got the three editors at playingfor90.com thinking about who we believe the 2014 MLS MVP should be.

More from MLS

I want to make it very clear that we all agreed that there are four players that should be strongly considered for MLS MVP. We have listed the four candidates in alphabetical order by last name and it has no weight on who we think is first or last. For each player that is listed, the three editors, Baxter Colburn, Phil Naegely and myself, each give a description and where we think each player lands in the MVP race.

I’m sure there will be some disagreements on who is number one and who should win the award, but that is what makes sports in general great. You can debate with your friends and at the end of the day still be friends (in most cases).

So without further ado, here are our thoughts on who should be the 2014 MLS MVP.
