Okay, so Beasley’s played in 4 World Cups and has suited up for storied clubs like Manchester City, Rangers, PSV Eindhoven, and Hanover 96. He’s not exactly an unknown, on the contrary he’s one of the best soccer products America has ever produced. So when he came back to MLS last season, we were expecting that same dynamism to transfer. It did not. Beasley is not to blame for this, he did have some injury problems towards the end of last year. But this season is the perfect time for him and the rest of the Dynamo to get back on the map. Houston’s left flank is one of the most potent in all of MLS, boasting Beasley and Brad Davis, both World Cup veterans, as well as Corey Ashe: a backup for Houston but a starter virtually anywhere else. Mexican wonder kid Erick “Cubo” Torres is bound to work wonders for Houston as well, making Beasley a potent part of an even more potent offense in the Lone Star State.
