Portland Timbers vs FC Dallas Live Stream: How to Watch and Prediction

League leaders FC Dallas head to the Cascadian region for their first matchup of the year with a Portland Timbers side that could desperately use a win. Dallas is coming off their only game so far where they were kept off the scoresheet. In fact against Seattle Sounders, neither team registered a shot on goal.

For Dallas, they need to attack early or the Timbers Army’s passion and noise level will only grow further. If a Timbers player finds the net, which they have been able to do twice at home, Timber Joey’s chainsaw will rev up and cut off a piece of wood. On the other hand, Dallas can quell the Providence Park crowd effectively by scoring early and often.

Despite scoring three goals across four matches and only allowing four goals, the Timbers have yet to win during the 2015 MLS Season and are currently 0-2-2. For the second straight year, it appears they can’t do anything better than tie, but Caleb Porter is trying to prove that wrong as they take on arguably the hottest MLS team right now.

Fanendo Adi has scored all three of the goals this year for Portland. His teammates will need to involve and incorporate him into the action if they are to come away with a win. At the same time, FC Dallas would be wise to double team him given he is the team’s only goal scorer thus far.

FC Dallas has found the net six times and only have allowed one goal, which came against Sporting KC in their home opener 3-1 win. Blas Pérez leads the team win three goals, while Fabian CastilloTesho Akindele, and Ryan Hollingshead have one goal each.

All in all, FC Dallas has the clear advantage heading into Providence Park. However, the favorite doesn’t always win and the unexpected happens often in sports included soccer. Look for a physical match that has a potential to either a high-scoring affair or a key defensive battle.

For fans watching via MLS Live, make sure to capitalize on the three-game view option, so that you can also watch the Vancouver Whitecaps-LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders-Houston Dynamo games in other MLS Western Conference action.
