Copa America 2015: 10 best starlets you need to know
Chile ST Angelo Henriquez, Dinamo Zagreb (21)
From 2012-2014, Angelo Henriquez was a prolific striker for the Chile U20 team with 21 goals in just 17 appearances, and he’s had two goals in just five appearances for the senior squad, including a goal in his debut in 2012 as a substitute for an injured Alexis Sanchez.
Henriquez is definitely a striker to watch closely, because he’s coming off of an extraordinary season for Dinamo Zagreb, bagging 20 goals in his first year in Croatia’s top flight. Dinamo Zagreb has been the third team to receive Henriquez on loan from Manchester United, as he also had spells at Wigan and Real Zaragoza. The issue is whether or not Man United will keep him, because there are rumblings that Zagreb will buy him permanently.
It’s clear that Henriquez has the potential to become a very good striker, and he deserves to play for an even bigger club. His finishing, instincts, and ability to use both feet make him a deadly and efficient player. In just four Europa League appearances, Henriquez bagged three goals and an assist, making use of every chance that came his way. He’s a dangerous player, and hopefully we get to see him out there in the Copa America.
