It may not be an MLS match, but on Saturday night, the Liverpool legend and new Los Angeles Galaxy edition will make his debut Saturday night against Club America in the International Champions Cup.

This is a much anticipated debut for both the Galaxy and the MLS since the Champions League winner and former Liverpool captain decided to make his move to the United States back in January.

The opponent, Club America, the reigning CONCACAF Champions League winners, will provide a great first test for Gerrard and the Galaxy, and it will be interesting to see where manager Bruce Arena decides to slot his newest addition.

With the Galaxy only one point away from Western Conference leaders Seattle and Vancouver, but still only six points from being out off a playoff spot, Gerrard could provide a much needed spark as the Galaxy look to defend their MLS title.
