Ranking Tottenham’s 7 Gareth Bale money signings
By Jake Cole
1. Christian Eriksen
One of the best deals of recent transfer windows, Christian Eriksen’s £11 million move from Ajax to Tottenham was one of the steals of the transfer window and by a clear mile, the best of all seven signings in 2013.
He is still one of the younger players but seems to have bags of experience and a whole lot of talent. He has been one of the best players in the last three seasons at Tottenham, providing both goals and assists. He has built his name up as a free-kick master during his time at White Hart Lane and since his debut he has performed to very high levels and rarely disappointed.

Last season was by far his best, showing consistent performances every single week and scoring vital goals including the late winners at Swansea and more importantly against Sheffield United when his double took us to Wembley. This season he hasn’t hit his best form yet but has still chipped in with some important goals and good performances recently.
By a long way he was one of the few success stories of a really disappointing transfer window by Levy, but has he now learnt his lesson and that is why Tottenham seem in such better shape this season.
