9. Adrián – West Ham United

Adrián has surprised many people in recent years as he has performed excellently and has been a vital part of West Ham’s rise with a string of important performances. Not all West Ham fans were convinced his was a permanent solution of their keeper problems but since then he has won them all over and has become a fan favourite at Upton Park.

When he began playing the game, Adrián started as a striker but later changed to a goalkeeper. He has spent the majority of his playing career with Real Betis in La Liga and was highly known for his man of the match performance in a 1-0 home win against Real Madrid.

Since joining West Ham he has really shown his true ability and put himself up there with the best in the league. In his first season he won a number of awards at West Ham’s presentation evening. Adrián will most likely be known for scoring the winning penalty in the Capital one Cup last season against Everton, now you understand why he was a striker to begin with.

So far this season he has kept six clean sheets and made 75 saves during a season where West Ham have had some great victories away to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. Adrián thoroughly deserves his place in the top ten as his match winning performances has helped West Ham on a rise towards their move to the Olympic Stadium.
