Hope #3: Fox will keep JP Dellacamera and Landon Donovan as their commentary team.
This may sound like a slight to John Strong, who has done a tremendous job on Fox’s Major League Soccer coverage.

But it is more of a testament to JP Dellacamera, who did a tremendous job on Thursday night capturing the excitement and importance of the USMNT-Ecuador match. JP is one of the best in the game and his work has frankly been underappreciated in American soccer circles.

As for Landon, it was a breath of fresh air to hear the former MLS MVP be himself without all of the pomp and circumstance. He came across very knowledgeable, but also malleable willing to provide some humor and fun to the match.

Next: Hope #4: That John Anthony Brooks can put in another quality performance.
