1. Nacer Chadli

Nacer Chadli is at a career crossroads. It’s time for him to either cement a serious place at Tottenham or find himself a club where he can earn regular playing time. The ICC may be his last chance to prove he can cut it for Spurs.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Chadli’s been strongly rumored in connection with Swansea in the past few weeks, and I’d expect those rumors to continue as the summer progresses. His struggles at Tottenham cost him his place in the Belgian national team this summer, and he knows he’ll need to find regular playing time to force his way back in.

Chadli, like Son, had some solid moments for Tottenham last season, but just couldn’t produce enough consistent quality to earn Pochettino’s trust. Unlike the South Korean attacker, there can be serious questions about Chadli’s work-rate at times.

The good news for the Belgian attacker is that his problems do seem to be fixable. If he can get himself into good shape and show a real propensity for the high-press this summer than he might have a chance to remain at Tottenham. If he still looks like a slow-footed poacher during the ICC, he should pack his bags for another club.
