7 bold Tottenham season predictions

1. Many pundits will say Harry Kane has a down season

For the record, I’m not predicting that Harry Kane is actually going to have a down season. I’m only saying that a great number of so-called football “experts” will accuse the Spurs talisman of having a sub-par campaign.

My rationale on this one is pretty simple. The arrival of Vincent Janssen is going to have a negative impact on Kane’s raw goal scoring total. Simple pundits will look at his diminished goal scoring tally and comment that he’s had a struggle.

The reality is that Kane will be a better player due to the rest that Janssen will provide. He may not win the Golden Boot this season, but he’ll up his actual level of play. Look for a more efficient season from Spurs’ English talisman.

Perhaps predicting that pundits will criticize a Tottenham striker isn’t actually a bold prediction. That’s par for the course, but it’ll be a new phenomenon as it applies to Kane. Look for his name to be drug through the mud this season, but for the club to be better off as a result.
