5. Victor Moses

Many are surprised that Victor Moses is still a Chelsea player. He has seemingly been loaned out more times than any other player in the history of English football, yet he managed to grab a place on the squad under Conte.

Don’t expect Moses to continue to beat the odds for a full season. He can be a serviceable substitute for some Premier League club, but not a title contender like Chelsea. Once Conte has another window to acquire players to fill out the squad, Moses will find himself surplus to requirements.

The good news for the Nigerian midfielder is that he’s reestablished some of his value under Conte. The mere fact that his manager has chosen to play him in the club’s first three matches will increase his number of suitors throughout Europe.

Again, Moses isn’t a bad player, he just isn’t up to the Chelsea standard. Conte will buy better substitutes in January and Moses will finally find a permanent home away from Stamford Bridge.
