9. Algeria vs Cameroon

Here is a great matchup between two teams that haven’t played each other often. Last time they met was all the way back in 2004 when the game ended 1-1. This will be the first game for both teams in the group, which also features African powerhouse Nigeria and Zambia.

Only one team out of this group will qualify for the World Cup, which means every game will be crucial. Milovan Rajevac, who just took over Algerian national team less than four months ago, has called up star players like Islam Slimani, Riyad Mahrez, Sofiane Feghouli, and Faouzi Ghoulam to get full three points at home.

Cameroon, a side rebuilding under new coach Hugo Broos, have called up players such as Eric Choupo-Mouting, Vincent Aboubakar, Edgar Salli, and Clinton N’Jie. Although this might not be the strongest Cameroon team over the years, they are a work in progress. This match might be too tough for them though, as Algerians have been very strong in recent years and they have won their last four games by an aggregate score of 21-1.
