8. Iran vs South Korea

Two Asian giants will face off each other on Tuesday in World Cup qualifiers. These two teams have faced frequently as they also played each other for 2014 World Cup qualifiers, where Iran won both games by a scoreline of 1-0.

More from International Soccer

German coach Ulrich Stielike has really stabilized South Korean national team, which was in chaos during the world cup in Brazil. Since he took over two years ago, he has already gotten them to Asian Cup final in 2015, where they narrowly lost to hosts Australia in extra time. For this match, Son Heung-min of Spurs, Ki Sung-yueng of Swansea, Lee Chung-Yong of Crystal Palace, and Koo Ja-cheol of Augsburg will lead the line for the Taegeuk Warriors.

Iran has also been a great side under veteran Portuguese manager Carlos Queiroz. With his emphasis on being organized and strong defensively, they have been a team that concedes very little goals. They may not have big name players in Europe like South Korea does but playing in 78,000 capacity Azadi Stadium with a very hostile environment will be difficult for any team.
