Erik Lamela-6.5
Tottenham’s Argentine attacker just can’t seem to find his form at the moment. He put in an energetic shift against Leverkusen, but didn’t have anything to show for it in the end.
Some Spurs fans on social media were a lot more critical of his performance than I believe is fair. Even when his offense doesn’t come together, he still puts in a solid defensive shift. Fans slating Lamela also should remember that he hit the crossbar in the first half. It wasn’t as if he never threatened the Leverkusen goal.

Son Heung-Min-6
If I’m honest, I thought it was pretty obvious that Son was bothered by playing against his old club. I’m not sure if it was some type of affection he has for Leverkusen or the harassment he took from their fans, but the Korean was clearly off yesterday.
Unlike Lamela, when Son isn’t contributing to his team’s offensive efforts, he doesn’t carry a ton of value. He was a passenger for most of the match. Son got into some dangerous areas with the ball in the first half, but faded miserably before being substituted in the second. In the absence of Harry Kane, Spurs need Son to be better than he played yesterday.
