Five reasons Tottenham are in fifth place
1. Harry Kane’s injury
It’s amazing how quickly many Tottenham fans have forgotten about Harry Kane. The simple truth is that not many Premier League clubs can expect to look like title contenders if they lose their first-choice striker.
Spurs fans were spoiled in the immediate aftermath of Kane’s injury with the sterling play of Son Heung-Min. That certainly aided the collective amnesia of the Tottenham fan base. Now that the Korean’s form has crashed back down to mediocrity, the awakening to Kane’s absence has begun anew.

Fortunately, The English striker has resumed light training and could be back anytime really. I wouldn’t expect to see him this week, but anything after that is squarely in the realm of possibility.
If he can return in good form, it should set many things about the Tottenham attack right again. Suddenly, Spurs will have a focal point in the offensive third once again. You also can’t discount the chemistry he has with his attacking teammates. Everyone in the Tottenham attack plays better when Harry Kane’s fit and firing.
