Hope #2: That Yura Movsisyan’s foot issues will not harm the RSL attack.

Movsisyan has made the transition back to MLS with very few issues. Although he has only scored nine goals this season he has become an instrumental part of the Claret and Cobalt’s attack. The Armenian international’s scoring touch hasn’t always been on but he has proven his value by setting up Joao Plata (9 goals, 12 assists in 2016) and Burrito Martinez (7 goals, 3 assists). RSL’s balanced attack has made them one of the more dangerous sides in the league in part because it is difficult for defenses to key up one particular player.

The hope is that Movsisyan’s bruise on the heel of his left foot will not hinder this complex plan of attack. He suffered the heel bruise colliding with Glad in practice in early October. The good news is for RSL supporters is that for the most part he has rested since sustaining the injury. Having had some time to heal the hope is that he will be ready to go against the Galaxy.

If he isn’t ready to start look for Cassar to go with Plata, Martinez, and Olmes Garcia in a 4-3-3. He used it against the San Jose Earthquakes and the Seattle Sounders (with Jordan Allen replacing Martinez for that match) and they have seen some success in such a style.
