Vincent Janssen-6.5

I’m really tired of writing reviews like this about the Dutch striker. He played hard for 90 minutes against Liverpool, but he failed to produce a score from open play.

Yes, he coolly slotted a penalty home, but that should be a given for a Premier League striker. Once again, he couldn’t really lead his attacking teammates to consistent pressure on the opponent. I can’t recall him producing a single scoring chance on the day.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

He put a few tasty balls into the box, but none produced a quality opportunity for Spurs. His play simply has to get better if Tottenham are going to be able to compete on multiple fronts this season.

Shayon Harrison-5

Some might claim that Harrison came on as an attacking midfielder, but to me he’s a striker. He only received about ten minutes of playing time, but his most memorable moment of the match was pretty bad.

Erik Lamela served him a beautiful cross into the box which he completely squandered. Harrison took what should have been a great scoring chance, and didn’t even manage to get off a shot at goal. It was an evening to forget for Tottenham’s U23 striker.
