With only four teams left in the running for the 2016 MLS Cup, here are two players to watch for each side as they battle it out for the trophy.

Following an international break, the 2016 MLS Cup playoffs will continue next week. The first legs of each conference final will be Tuesday 11/22. The break sometimes halts the playoff momentum, but it has been such a great, unpredictable run so far, fans can’t wait to get the next taste. There will be no Portland Timbers repeat, or Columbus Crew SC on the other side. Star laden LA Galaxy and New York City FC  were sent home.

The two time champion Houston Dynamo finished dead last in the West, and 1998 champions, Chicago Fire, in the cellar for the East. Only one of the four teams remaining has ever won the Cup, and that was Colorado back in 2010. Representing the East, it will be red hot Toronto FC taking on fellow Canadian side Montreal Impact. Out west, it will be the aforementioned, Tim Howard-less Colorado Rapids up against Seattle Sounders FC.

More from MLS

Last time we saw MLS action, Toronto absolutely embarrassed NYCFC, 7-0 on aggregate.  In the other Eastern Conference semifinal, Montreal was able to take a 3-1 aggregate win over the #1 New York Red Bulls.

On the other side of the bracket, Colorado snuck away with the closest semifinal victory over LA Galaxy. The second leg went to penalty kicks, and Tim Howard and the Rapids pulled off the emotional victory. Seattle built up a 3-0 lead at home, and withstood FC Dallas at home to advance with a 4-2 aggregate tally.

In this slideshow, is the top two players, per team, to watch in the upcoming conference finals.
