The Bench
Harry Winks’ goal against West Ham was the stuff of absolute legend. Pochettino rewarded his strong effort against the Hammers with a start against Monaco. Expect the young Englishman to start the Chelsea match on the substitute’s bench.
That isn’t a criticism of Winks, but he just isn’t ready for a match of this caliber. He has the ability to come on and contribute off the bench, but he shouldn’t be expected to shoulder a starting load.

After that, things get pretty dicey for Pochettino. I suppose Moussa Sissoko provides him another midfield option off the bench, but he’s done nothing in a Tottenham shirt to engender any confidence. Perhaps he can take everyone by surprise at Stamford Bridge.
After that, Vincent Janssen is still likely to find his way into the match in relief of Kane. Even if the Englishman is ready to start, he probably isn’t ready to handle 90 tense derby minutes. The Dutchman will still be called upon to provide cover for the Spurs talisman.
