1. Spurs need it
Anyone who knows anything about Mauricio Pochettino knows he’s been riding his team hard over the past several weeks. One (improbable) win in ten matches simply isn’t good enough for the Argentine gaffer.
That means that the entire squad has been feeling his wrath all week. They’ll be desperate to go out and put on a sparkling performance to force their manager to ease up. It’s a simple matter of survival for many Spurs players.

Even aside from Pochettino’s wishes, Tottenham know they need to get back on track to remain in the hunt for the Premier League title. Earning three points at home against Swansea is an absolute necessity. It’s not a match Spurs can afford to drop.
Necessity is not only the mother of invention, it can be the driver of excellent match day performances. Look for that to be the case for Spurs in an easy win over Swansea this weekend.
