5 Christmas gifts Everton fans deserve this year
By John Harbeck
#5 A trophy
The fifth and final trophy that Everton fans deserve is a real bonafide trophy. At this point, I’m talking about the F.A. Cup. It has been over 20 years since the Everton faithful has been on the receiving end of winning a trophy and it is high time that was changed.
Winning an F.A. Cup would undo much of the heartache that has been building for the last decade of close cup calls and mind numbing mid-table finishes. Those that are new to English soccer might not realize that Everton is deserving of mention among the top clubs in the nation.
It has been a number of decades, but Everton was once a major player on the national landscape with eight league titles and five F.A. Cups to their name. Not only that, but Everton has been a fixture on European nights for quite some time.

This final gift under the tree is an F.A. Cup that would begin the long climb fact to national relevancy for Everton fans that they have long deserved. Of course, an F.A. Cup doesn’t mean that Everton is back to Premier League title contention, but it would go a long way to staving off the fears that fans believe the club has fallen behind.
If you are an Everton fan, I hope you enjoyed the proposed gifts that I have for Christmas this year. If not, thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think and what your five gifts would be.
