4. Youri Tielemans

Tottenham would be wise to add to their Belgian contingent this summer. Purchasing midfielder Youri Tielemans could be the perfect way to add an emerging Belgian star to Pochettino’s options in the midfield.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Tielemans is a classic box-to-box midfielder. He’s got the size and athleticism necessary to put in a solid defensive shift, but his ability to burst into the final third is what makes him special. In many ways he’d be the perfect heir apparent to countryman Mousa Dembele in the middle of the Spurs lineup.

Fortunately, Tielemans seems up for a summer move away from Anderlecht. He wouldn’t necessarily be a cheap purchase, but it seems that a bid of somewhere around £20 million would be enough to see a deal completed. At that price, it’s a no-brainer for Pochettino and company.

Some Spurs fans are more keen on Adrien Rabiot, but I think Tielemans is a much more likely purchase. He isn’t as far along as the PSG star, but he may have an even higher upside. Again, Pochettino’s management would be perfect for his development.
