Finances
The term “finances” gets used in a broad sense here for Willian, as a potential move from Chelsea to Manchester United comes with several interesting areas that would greatly affect his decision.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and manager Antonio Conte will simply not allow a player of Willian’s caliber to join another Premier League rival. Jose Mourinho would likely have to spend beyond what the club have in mind, to the point of making the deal less inviting.
With United surely planning on others within the summer transfer market as well, spending too much on Willian would see a potential move hit a bump in the road.
Willian’s personal finances could come into play also, and the midfielder would have to look no further than his Selecao team-mates.
Oscar and Ramires each left Chelsea for the riches of the Chinese Super League, and it is certainly an option that would be difficult to turn down.
Whether Willian chooses the English Premier League or another part of the world altogether, the finances of any transfer to Manchester United from Chelsea would prove to be quite difficult.
