2. Arsenal are sinking fast under Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger is the longest-serving coach in the Premier League. Since joining the Gunners in 1996, he has led the club to 3 league titles and has also won the FA Cup six times. But the problem is that the last of those league titles came in 2003-04.

Although Arsenal have been consistently qualifying for the Champions League since then, they have failed to come close to winning the title. And this season, even Champions League qualification looks to be beyond their reach.

Arsenal are languishing in sixth place, four points behind fourth placed Manchester City. Wenger’s contract expires at the end of the season and there is still uncertainty about his future. Arsenal’s players have also been accused of not trying hard enough, especially in big games this season.

With fans calling for Arsene Wenger’s head, the Gunners go into the North London derby under massive pressure. And Tottenham can take full advantage of this and end Arsenal’s hopes of playing Champions League football for a 20th consecutive season next year.
