1. A Tottenham win could mark the end of St. Totteringham’s Day

Arsenal have been one of the dominant forces in Premier League history. They have finished above their rivals Tottenham for 22 straight years. And their fans have coined a term to celebrate their dominance over their biggest rivals.

St. Totteringham’s Day is a day in the season, which Arsenal fans celebrate when Tottenham cannot finish mathematically ahead of Arsenal in the league. Years of agony was set to end last season when Tottenham were ahead of Arsenal going into the final day. But a heavy defeat to Newcastle United saw Arsenal overtake their North London rivals and St. Totteringham’s Day lived on.

However it looks like Arsenal fans will not be able to celebrate it this season. A win on Sunday will help Tottenham secure a finish above their fierce rivals for the first time in Arsene Wenger’s reign. There is no better satisfaction in the life of a football fan than beating a local rival. And a win for Spurs could lead to the start of an era of dominance over their North London rivals.
