1. Christian Eriksen is still magnificent

Sometimes the brilliance of Harry Kane and Dele Alli can make Spurs fans forget about just how good Christian Eriksen really is. The classy Dane’s wonder strike to open Tottenham’s scoring against PSG reminded everyone of his class.

Another thing that’s easy to forget about Eriksen is how young he still is. Despite his (balding) appearance, he’s still just 25-years-old. It’s very likely that his best football is still in front of him. That should be a frightening thought for the rest of the Premier League.

It’s quite possible that Eriksen could be Tottenham’s most improved player this season. If his confidence runs hot for an entire season there’s no telling how many goals he might rack up. His ascendancy to a true goal scoring threat would give Pochettino a terrifying front line.

Some might consider this an overreaction to one good performance from Eriksen, but I’m bullish on his chances of reaching new heights this season. If he does that, expect Tottenham to capture some lovely silverware with help from their Danish talisman.
