Attacking Midfielder-Christian Eriksen
The stylish Dane hasn’t done anything to diminish his reputation with Pochettino through two matches. He put in an excellent match against Newcastle and backed it up with a solid effort against the Blues.
Moreover, his presence in the lineup against Burnley is an absolute necessity for Spurs. He’s the one attacker at Pochettino’s disposal that can pick out a pass to slice open the opposition. If Burnley sit back, he’ll come back and pull the strings for the rest of his attackers.
Attacking Midfielder-Dele Alli
Much of what I just wrote about Eriksen can be said about Dele as well. His play through the first two matches of the season certainly merit his continued selection in Pochettino’s starting XI.

Unlike Eriksen, Dele is most dangerous when he’s making runs towards goal. He can hurt Burnley with a key pass, but he’s more of a weapon in terms of scoring goals of his own. Burnley will have to expend a lot of energy keeping track of Dele at all times.
Attacking Midfielder-Son Heung-Min
I called for the Korean to start against Chelsea but Pochettino opted to leave him on the substitute’s bench. I can only assume that he is now fit enough to start against the Clarets.
This is a terrific opportunity for him to make a statement that he should be counted on as a steady member of Pochettino’s starting XI. He had an excellent goal scoring campaign last year, but he’ll need to round out his game to satisfy the gaffer. Spurs fans will be happy if he just finds the back of the net on Sunday.
