Tottenham projected starting XI v Swansea: Pochettino changes formations again
Left Wingback-Ben Davies
The Welshman has been an absolute revelation in relief of Danny Rose. Quite a few Tottenham supporters (myself included) didn’t think he was capable of filling Rose’s shoes.

Instead of looking like the club’s weakest link, he’s managed to play better and better football every week. It’s now very possible that Rose will have a terrific fight on his hands when he regains full fitness. While I think that’s a battle Rose will ultimately win, the fact that it’s going to be a battle at all is a testament to Davies’ excellent play.
Right Wingback-Kieran Trippier
The English right back will be disappointed that he missed out against Dortmund, but that was the right decision by Pochettino. Serge Aurier clearly showed that he is the superior athlete and player.
That doesn’t mean that Trippier is going to find himself nailed on the bench. I fully expect him to continue to get plenty of playing time against weaker opposition. Swansea fall into that category. Spurs fans won’t be thrilled to see him, but Trippier will get the start against the Swans.
