Eric Dier-8
I’ve been highly critical of Dier’s poor play this season, but today he definitely took a step in the right direction. Charged with patrolling the defensive midfield practically on his own, he did a terrific Mousa Dembele impression.

It must be said that he wasn’t facing the Premier League’s most talented attacking corps. Even so, he broke up play beautifully in the middle of the pitch. Dier kept his performance simple and turned in his best outing of the season.
Harry Winks-7
Winks enjoyed a lot of freedom on the pitch while enjoying Dier’s protection. It wasn’t his best showing, but he still played a part in the Spurs’ victory.
My biggest issue with the young Englishman is he didn’t impose himself enough on the match. Admittedly, that’s difficult with the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli dominating the ball, but it’s the next step in Winks’ progression.
In the end, he still deserves credit for playing a perfectly adequate match for his club. That’s quite an accomplishment for such a young player.
