Attacking midfielder-Dele Alli

Much has been written about how much Kane wants to feature in this match, but I’m getting Dele has just as much motivation to be involved. Don’t forget, this will be his first opportunity to participate in Champions League play this season. He was suspended for the club’s first three matches in the competition.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Dele’s also just the sort of player who won’t be intimidated by the occasion. Instead, the danger for him is trying to do too much against Zidane’s squad. If he plays within the team concept he can really flourish in this high-profile fixture. If he tries to win the match by himself he may be hauled off before the hour mark.

Attacking midfielder-Christian Eriksen

The classy Danish midfielder will want to bounce back after a very poor performance at United on the weekend. He simply has to play better in big matches if he wants to be considered a world-class player.

Fortunately, Eriksen doesn’t need to wait long for his next opportunity to show well on the big stage. A terrific outing against Real Madrid will cause everyone to forget about his failure at Old Trafford. Like Dele, the key for Eriksen will be playing within the team concept.
