Dele Alli-5

Heading into the match, it was pretty clear that Tottenham needed a good performance from Dele Alli to pull off the upset. Sadly, Spurs’ precocious midfielder was unable to muster even an average match.

Dele’s horror tackle against Kevin de Bruyne drew the ire of Guardiola, but it was the only danger Dele posed to City during the match. It’s difficult to remember him doing anything of real note for his club’s attack. It was an anonymous performance for Dele when his club needed him to be great.

Christian Eriksen-6

The talented Dane gets a slight upgrade in his rating since he scored Tottenham’s only goal, but it really wasn’t all that important. City had largely switched off after going up 4-0 against Spurs.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Otherwise, he was just as anonymous as Dele. The only difference between the two was that Eriksen didn’t further mar his performance with a horrible challenge. In some ways, I wish he would have left his mark on a City attacker.

Heung-Min Son-5.5

The talented Korean came into the match on a torrid goal scoring stretch. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to keep it going in the slightest against City’s defense.

As I’ve said on multiple occasions, when Son doesn’t score a goal, he isn’t all that helpful. He did play with terrific energy against City, but he wasn’t enough of a defensive presence to really put a halt to Guardiola’s attack.
