Defensive midfielder-Eric Dier

Dier might be in need of a rest, but Tottenham’s injury situation won’t allow him a break quite yet. Victor Wanyama will be back very soon (he might be on the bench for this match) but he isn’t quite ready to play a full 90 Premier League minutes.

As such, Dier gets another chance to cement himself as one of Pochettino’s first choices in the defensive midfield. He’s played better in the midfield than as a central defender this year, but he still hasn’t played his best football.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Dier will be looking to control this match, but he needs to make sure he plays within himself. Trying to do too much with the ball at his feet could lead to poor results for the talented Englishman.

Defensive midfielder-Moussa Sissoko

My apologies to the Sissoko hates for disappointing you all with this prediction. The Frenchman hasn’t been great this season, but he’s done a decent job for Pochettino when called upon.

Sissoko isn’t an ideal defensive midfielder, but Pochettino can get away with this call against Swansea’s listless attack. Quietly, Sissoko has created quite a few really good chances to score this season. Perhaps he can actually finish a chance against the Swans.
