Cenk Tosun of Besiktas has agreed personal terms with Everton, and the deal is set to be complete very soon.

Cenk Tosun has been causing mayhem in the Turkish Super Lig for Besiktas. Scoring 14 goals and providing 3 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions is going to attract interest, especially when 4 of those goals came on Europe’s biggest stage, the Champions League.

Many players wish to play in the Premier League, whereas some would wish to avoid it. Some players thrive off the heavy competition, which is what Everton fans will be hoping of Cenk Tosun.

International Business Times have reported that the striker has already agreed personal terms with Everton. This means that the deal could be finalised and confirmed at any moment, which is exciting news for Everton fans, providing the deal doesn’t fall through for any reason.

Sam Allardyce was reported to be unhappy with his attacking options, which is why they’re investing heavily in the Besiktas star. The contract is rumoured to last until 2022, with Cenk Tosun earning £145,000

Not only can Evertonians be happy with their acquisition, but they can also take great pride in the clubs they fought off to land his signature. The likes of Roma, Spurs, Valencia and RB Leipzig were also sniffing around the deal, report International Business Times.

Cenk Tosun is a versatile striker, who still has a few years to develop. However, that’s not me saying he’s bad by any means. In fact, he’s quite the opposite.

He loves to pick out pockets of space and exploit them to his best ability. His physical presence is also very frightening to opposing defenders, as he loves to compete in aerial duels, and more often than not, win them. This is a trait of his that will certainly be tested under Sam Allardyce.

Do you think the arrival of Cenk Tosun will lead to a dead-end for Sandro Ramirez? With recent reports linking him back to Malaga, I think it could be. I would love to hear your thoughts though, so don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments section.
