Eric Dier-5

Dier didn’t do anything to harm his club, but he didn’t do much to actually help them achieve a quality result either. Whether or not you think he was a poor selection by Pochettino is irrelevant here. He was a passenger for most of his time on the pitch.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Sure, he made a few useful interceptions. Does anyone think he really did anything outstanding? If you did, I’d suggest you take your English-tinted glasses off and take another look. Dier was mediocre at best against a weak West Ham midfield.

Moussa Sissoko-4.5

The only thing saving Dier from fan crucifixion is the ineffective performance put in by his midfield partner. Sissoko was incorrectly deployed by Pochettino and put in an entirely anonymous shift.

Whether or not you believe Sissoko gives good effort, it’s clear that his play on the pitch isn’t good enough. He plays entirely too slow and simple to thrive under Pochettino. A January transfer is unlikely, but would be welcome from my perspective.
