Step Two: Sign Sessegnon

Tottenham’s interest in signing Ryan Sessegnon away from Fulham is no secret to anyone. Spurs clearly see real potential in the Championship star. Predictably, Fulham want to keep him at Craven Cottage for as long as possible.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

To that end, Fulham executives have publicly pulled him off the January market. Tottenham should see those hollow public declarations for exactly what they are. They are pure negotiating ploys.

Spurs need to up their financial offering if they’re going to get a deal done. This may be the last window where Tottenham enjoy a relatively free run to bring Sessegnon to London. The club should be willing to pay at least £30 million for the brilliant talent.

Levy can loan him back to Fulham for the rest of the year too. The important thing is to get him into Pochettino’s grasp this summer. Sessegnon is too bright of a talent to miss out on over a few million pounds.
