David Ospina picked up Arsenal’s first clean sheet in a while on Thursday night against Ostersunds, but how can he deal with the pressure of a cup final?

Petr Cech, who is suffering a bad run of luck in the clean sheet department, is open to being sidelined for Arsenal’s important cup final with Manchester City on Sunday. During his lengthy career, the goalkeeper has racked up three league cups already. It is expected David Ospina will start for the Gunners.

Being the professional he is, Petr Cech is never one to start a riot for not being featured, however he will feel disappointed. Speaking with Sky Sports, the Czech admitted that being a spectator is not ideal.

"“I will be there with the team supporting but I don’t expect to play. It is always hard to watch any game from the bench or even from the stand if you are not selected.” – Petr Cech (via Sky Sports)"

Arsenal will come up against Manchester City, who are having a roller-coaster season thus far. Pep Guardiola’s men have been running rampant in the league this season, as they sit top of the Premier League table, sixteen points clear of second place Manchester United.

On Monday night, they faced a disappointing result to Wigan Athletic, losing 1-0 to The Tics, with Fabian Delph being on the receiving end of a red card. This will either crush their confidence against Arsenal, or make them even more fired up.

Arsene Wenger will be hopeful of the first outcome, although he and his side will head into the game with great confidence. Arsenal have a great cup final record at Wembley Stadium, beating Manchester City there twice in the two occasions they’ve met in recent seasons.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be available for the Gunners, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not, after coming on as a substitute for Manchester United earlier on in the competition. Arsenal are expected to play a weaker squad in the Europa League on Thursday, with Manchester City being given just under a week to prepare for the fixture.

Do you think David Ospina can come up with the goods between the sticks for Arsenal on Sunday?
