4. Jettison Fernando Llorente

This is another move that I believe is quite likely to occur this summer. Llorente arrived in North London with high expectations, but his play for Spurs has been shockingly poor.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Llorente has been so bad that many Tottenham fans are openly wondering whether or not the club’s backup striker position is cursed. Amazingly, he’s managed to make the struggles of Roberto Soldado and Vincent Janssen look pale in comparison.

It’s hard to determine whether Llorente’s struggles are due to his advancing age or his poor fit for Pochettino’s tactics. The venerable Spaniard is totally incapable of serving at the top of the Tottenham press.

It might surprise you to learn that Llorente still has value around Europe. It’s quite possible Spurs could break even with the £12 million they paid Swansea for his services last summer. That would represent one of Daniel Levy’s greatest transfer escapes.
