The new era in football has arrived, and with it come some exciting talents

Football is not the same. It is all about money. La Masia is declining, so is Manchester United’s academy. The youth players never get to fulfill the dream of representing the club where they matured as a footballer. They move to bigger clubs for big money.

Ajax’s academy, De Toekomst is the only one amongst the old heavyweights which is still ticking. But all talents like Christian Eriksen are stolen away by bigger clubs and made into big successes. But the deterioration in the ‘old culture’ hasn’t translated to dearth of talent.

With the new era in football, is coming a generation of players who will overshadow all the old greats in the years to come.
