Defensive midfielder-Mousa Dembele

Dembele struggled against Bournemouth last time out, but look for Pochettino to stick with him. His ceiling is just too high to leave on the bench for such an important fixture.

As usual, Dembele’s main job will be to control the middle of the pitch for Spurs. He can do that by using his massive physical advantage over his Swansea counterparts. The likes of Tom Carroll simply can’t push Dembele off the ball in their wildest dreams. The talented Belgian probably won’t play the full 90 minutes, but count on him to start the match.

Defensive midfielder-Eric Dier

Pochettino will really wrestle between Dier and Victor Wanyama in this spot. Ultimately, I’m projecting him to choose Dier to the idea that he’s the better attacker of the two. I think the gap between the two players is overblown, but Pochettino clearly buys into that theory.

Dier also happens to the fresher of the two midfielders. Wanyama played against Bournemouth instead of the English midfielder. Dier’s alleged offensive abilities and rest will earn him a slight nod over the Kenyan destroyer.
