Kieran Trippier-8.5

This was one of Trippier’s best games of the season. He was an absolute weapon on the right flank for Pochettino. When Spurs had the ball in an advanced position he repeatedly fired dangerous crosses into the box.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Yes, he got burned badly by Richarlison on one occasion, but overall his defensive positioning was adequate. Combine that with a few well-timed challenges and Trippier earns really high marks.

Ben Davies-6.5

Davies wasn’t bad in this match, but his performance was pretty forgettable. He didn’t have any trouble defending Watford, but he wasn’t challenged that often either. The Welshman does deserve credit for keeping Gerard Deulofeu quiet after he was introduced.

In terms of attacking, almost every meaningful Tottenham run forward came from the right. That may have been a tactical decision by Pochettino or just a product of how well Trippier was playing. Either way, it resulted in a pretty anonymous match for Davies.
